Now before you go all "OH YOU ARE SO MEAN" on me, I am not going to pick on fat people because I am a chubby bummed bugger.
This is actually going to be about how the fashion industry HATES larger sizes, now over the later years of puberty I have bumped up from a lovely size 12-14 to a MAHOOSIVE size 20 well a size 20 is mahoosive when you're 5 foot 2 anyway but on taller ladies you can suit it more :) due to a nasty illness (not just pure greed) and as I have ballooned I have witnessed first hand how the larger your size is the less likely you are going to find it in shops.
Now I feel this is really discriminating, I mean you wouldn't turn round to an Asian person and go "oh I am sorry you can't buy this product because your skin colour is different to what we like"... if someone did that it'd be all over the web for racism so why is being as I call it "size-ist" allowed? Now you can give me the "the more fabric you use the more expensive it is to make" argument with me but seeing as you can buy a size 6 and a size 16 for the same price in the majority of shops I am not going to accept this as a good reason.
Yes it is DISGUSTING when people eat themselves to a stupid weight and I will happily shout at a person who sits there shovelling down big macs and then moaning about being fat and then eating again... but what about the people who are physically unable to exercise do to bone problems like myself? we're made to feel disgusting in jog pants and baggy shirts because we can't buy anything trendy due to the size-ist fashion industry we live with.
I wish us larger people were more accepted in society instead of being looked at like monsters who will eat you, but what with such a judgemental society it will likely never happen but next time you see a large person please spare a thought for how they got like that (unless they're sat there with 20 burgers in front of them) :) x
